We are a little more than a week away from Easter, which means you still have time to get something to wear! I always have no idea what to wear for Easter because here in Chicago, it’s always freezing! I envy the people I see all over Instagram in cute dresses and open toed shoes that live in warmer climates. But that just isn’t the case in Chicago! It is almost always chilly here. So I thought I would show you what I plan on wearing this year! And it’s not just a typical dress that everyone always wears.
It’s funny because I really owe this outfit to my mom. She sent me a picture of these pink pants and asked if they would be cute to wear on Easter. And she then went on to talk about how she really wanted a pair of white slides to go with them. I immediately thought ‘what a stylish mom I have. I don’t even own a pair of slides!’ It sounded like such a cute outfit, that I had to copy it! I decided to go with a heel for a more dressier look, but you could easily pair a flat or slide with this look too.
Kurt and I don’t typically make a huge deal out of Easter. In the past we typically would go home to my parents to celebrate, but that drive is not so fun. And it always makes things more difficult now that we have the pup. In years past if we stay in the city, Kurt and I either plan super last minute to go out to brunch (like we are looking at open table the morning of) or we stay home and cook breakfast. This year we are venturing out a little. And I made a reservation at one of our favorite steak restaurants, called Prime & Provisions for brunch. They have the most amazing food and I’m so excited to see how their brunch is- I’m sure it’s delightful! And secretly, I really just wanted to wear my super cute new pink pants! 🙂
I couldn’t let this post end without talking about my new Prada bag!! I’ve been saving forever for a new bag and originally had my eye on this Gucci one. But something was holding me back and I couldn’t pull the trigger on it. I randomly picked this one up when we were shopping at Neiman Marcus on our trip to Palm Beach a few weeks ago and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this bag! I love how classic it is and I know it won’t be going out of style anytime soon. I envision passing this one down to my daughter someday. And the fact that Kurt actually likes this one was a huge perk because he doesn’t understand my love for bags. Overall, I am SOOO happy with this purchase and can’t wait to wear it more!
