Lately, I have been all about beauty products and trying out new items. Last week, I went and had a facial and it was so wonderful. I have been trying out so many new products that my skin was very confused. And very angry. I couldn’t get it under control or figure out what was working vs. not working because I was changing up my routine way too often. So, I decided it was time to consult a professional. I also ended up getting a peel, which I have never done before but she said it would really kick start everything. It has only been a little over a week, but I already see the results. My skin is brighter and more even….and now I’m hooked! I bought this product and this one to use at home and my skin is finally on it’s way to looking 1000 times better.
So now that I’ve got my skin back on track, I’ve been obsessing about every other beauty item I can get my hands on. Here are some of my recent beauty finds that I have been using and am already addicted to!
Stila Liquid Lipstick in Caro
A few weeks ago I was browsing Ulta (there is one right up the street, which is so dangerous!). I love these lipsticks and have quite a few already. They came out with new shades this season so naturally I had to pick one up! This is a really good bright pink, but it’s not too bright on. I have the color Amalifi which is HOT pink so this is a nice in between color. These lipsticks are super pigmented and long lasting, which is why I love to wear them. Just make sure you add a little chapstick to your lips after you apply. Mine tend to get dry when I wear these.
My lips have been super dry lately. And when a friend told me about this, I knew I had to try it out. It is an ointment which can really be used anywhere. I apply a generous amount to my lips every night and wake up with super soft lips. I also dab a little bit on the corners of my nose because I get super dry there. And it does the trick!
Over the past few weeks, I’ve tried a ton of Tula’s products. They get rave reviews and all of my favorite bloggers seem to use them too. Sadly, they are just too harsh for my skin. I really wanted to love them, but waking up every other day with a new pimple just wasn’t fun. But out of all the products I did try, I love the eye cream. It’s very thick and a little goes a long way. I get very dry around my eye area and especially with this cold weather we have been having and this works magic. I’ve been using it for over a month and still have not even made a dent in the jar. I know it’s expensive, but this will last forever. And if you want to try it, either sign up for emails or go to google. Other bloggers are always offering up discount codes!
Urban Decay Lipstick in Heartless
Ok this might be my most favorite lipstick ever! I was watching one of my favorite bloggers, Katey McFarlan on Insta stories and she was raving about the formulation of this lipstick. She is a big beauty blogger and almost everything I try that she recommends, I end up loving. So I take her advice very seriously! And she wasn’t joking with this one. I decided on Heartless, a light pink because that is what I like to wear daily. And this is my go to lipstick right now! The formula is so pigmented so it gives you a lot of punch and it keeps your lips so hydrated. I swear that it also makes my lips look bigger! No clue how that is even possible, but I’m just going to go with it! And did I mention that they are only $17?!?
I picked this up a few weeks ago when I got my hair done. My hairdresser is obsessed with this line and so am I! She’s got me hooked. I already use their shampoo and conditioner and their dry paste shampoo is life changing. I bought a jar of it about 3 months ago and I still have at least half left. That’s crazy because I was going thru an aerosol can of dry shampoo about once a month, so it’s been a huge saver! Anyway back to the hair spray. This is as super lightweight hold. But unlike a lot of hair sprays that say they are lightweight, this one truly is. And don’t let that fool you because this still holds everything in place.
Have you picked up any beauty products you love lately? Would love to try some more new ones!
