I’m so excited to share our desk makeover reveal with you!!! I’ve shared a few photos of it here and there, but I really wanted to dedicate a blog post to it because I am so excited about it!
We don’t have a ton of space in our current apartment. We actually decided to downsize a bit when we moved into our current place because the location what too good to pass up. The bedrooms are pretty small even for Chicago style. We can still have queen size beds in each room, but there isn’t much room for any other bigger furniture. So a desk was completely out of the question in one of our bedrooms. Unless we wanted to give up our guest room.
Meanwhile, Addie our 55 lb ‘pomsky’ was growing up. I say pomsky because let’s face the fact that she is defiantly more husky than anything haha! Anyway, her crate took up an insane amount of space in our apartment. The only place we had room for it was in the kitchen area where you are actually suppose to put a small table and chairs. Well, Addie started to grow and we soon realized she didn’t need to be locked up in her crate all day. Don’t get me wrong, we knew it was the safest for her, but we were selfish and really needed the space! So we deiced to transition her out of her crate and let her have more freedom.
We’ve had our ups and downs. She loves to chew on the corners of the walls or get into stuff she shouldn’t. But overall she has been a very good girl! Once we got her acclimated and feeling safe without her crate- we decided to take the plunge and buy a desk! I was especially excited about this because when I started blogging, my back would KILL me sitting at our island. It’s so much different looking down at your computer than straight on.
Kurt was actually the one who pushed me to get a white desk and I am so happy that we did. I love how it brightens up the space. We technically should have a dinning area in this space, but we always eat at our island. So, we wanted something that we would actually use. And I love working at it! In fact that’s where I’m writing this right now!
