As many of you know, my office is a business casual setting. Which basically means we can’t wear jeans. We can get away with quite a bit, although most people I work with are very conservative. So I try not to push the boundaries too far! Every morning I snap a quick photo of my outfit and post it to Instagram stories. I do this so you can see how I wear some of the items in my closet or you can get ideas if you also have a business casual work environment. I’m going to apologize in advance because these photos aren’t my best- but you get the idea! So here are a few of my favorite outfit’s I wore to work over the past few weeks!

After I posted this outfit to Instagram stories I went on TimeHop (one of my favorite apps!) and realized I wore the EXACT same outfit one year ago. Everything was the same except for my shoes! How crazy is that! These pants are my absolute favorites for work. I own them in this green, navy, black and a bright pink. And they always have a ton of new options like cute patterns and new colors as the seasons change. They have a ton of stretch to them which makes these pants super comfy. I love how slim they are, yet they are still professional. I prefer to get them dry cleaned, but the best part is you don’t have to!

I bought these pants when I first started at my job three years ago and every year I get so excited to pull them out! I wasn’t able to find the exact pair, but I foun some really great similar options linked above! They are linen which is the perfect material to wear on those super hot days. In fact, the day I wore this outfit it was a cooker out. And they kept me nice and cool. I’m also obsessed with this sweater. I originally bought it in grey (shown in the next outfit), wore it to work and immediately bought it in black! It’s such good quality and it’s one of those sweaters that you just need in your closet. I throw it on over everything. And it’s lightweight enough for these hot summer days. I wear it at least once a week!

I’m not usually a dress person, but during the hotter months I like to have a few options in my closet. And I love this one! I actually wore it dressed up to celebrate our anniversary and I knew I would also wear it a lot to work. It’s a great length too. I tend to be more conservative with my lengths especially when I am dressing for work. A short mini skirt is just not appropriate for the work environment. This one has sold out in a lot of sizes, but I linked some really cute similar options for you above!

Another sweater that I love for summer! It is perfect for those chilly nights or cooler summer days. And it looks adorable with shorts (see this Instagram post). These are also another of my go to pants for work. I also own them in the navy and wear them all the time. They are such a preppy fit and that’s not even the best part! I throw these in the regular wash and dryer! Lately, I’ve been trying to be better about buying items that don’t need to be dry cleaned. My bill every month was starting to get outrageous!

Haha sometimes the animals get caught in the background of my pictures. This is Charlie here! Anyway, if you don’t own a white button up yet, I highly recommend this one. I wear it all the time and every time I get it back from the cleaners, I wear it almost immediately. These pants are a great slim fitting skinny pant option. I don’t wear these as often during the summer, but they are great for the fall and winter when you are wearing booties. Does anyone else have a show drawer at work? I’m guilty too! I wear comfy flats or sandals to walk in and then either carry a pair of heels or store them at work. I must have had extra time this morning to take a photo with this pair on because I would never wear them for my walk to the train!
At my previous job, we were able to wear jeans to work everyday, which I LOVED. Don’t get me wrong! But there were some days I was bored of it. I felt like I was wearing the same thing every other day. So, now I kind of like that I have to get dressed up. It makes you feel so much better about yourself throughout the day when you are wearing a nice pressed blouse and pants. I swear your confidence is much higher!
If you guys like this post maybe I could do it once a month or every couple of months! I really don’t switch out my wardrobe that often for work. I tend to only switch up my tops to give it more variety. Once I find some great work pants that I like- I buy them in every color and don’t look back!
