I’m really not one to jump on trends very fast. Usually when I first see a new trend emerge I hate it and think that I will never wear it. And then a few months go by and I see more and more people wearing that said trend and it’s all I can do not to buy into that trend. But eventually I do haha! I guess I’m just more cautious when it comes to fads or trends. I would rather make sure I really really like something before I spend my money on it. But there are some trends here and there that I just fall head over heels in love with. And lately I’ve been all about the knotted headbands trend!
Have you tried this trend yet? I think it is so adorable and so unique! I was a little taken aback when I first saw this trend emerge. It really all started with this headband. I was seeing it on a lot of the stylish bloggers that I follow, but at $150 the price was way to high for me to dip my toes in. But like many trends, this one too became more mainstream….and retailers bought into it. And eventually they came out with more cost effective items, which is when I said I had to have one!
I personally think these knotted headbands are adorable. And every time I wear one I get a ton of compliments. I love that it adds a bit of fun to any outfit or can make a simple white tee pop. I have three now in my collection, but I’m always on the hunt for new styles. Here are some that I’ve had my eye on.
And just a side note. I know it may sound ridiculous to spend upwards of $150 on this trend (I personally wouldn’t do it). But my black one is by the designer who really started this trend, Lele Sadoughi, and there is something to be said about the quality of her headbands. I can actually wear this one all day and my head isn’t throbbing at the end of the day. So I would take that into consideration when purchasing. She has some lower priced options now like this one and this one that I’m loving!
