Please tell me you have heard from the brand Mackenzie-Childs?! If not, you are in for a treat today! I’ve always been familiar with the brand, but haven’t owned anything from her line until more recently. You might know her by the black and white check tea kettle? This is a classic and one of her most popular items!
While I’ve always been a fan, I was just never too crazy about the black and white theme of it all. I don’t have a lot of black at all in my home (only in the Fall time frame). And honestly her stuff is a little too pricey to only have out seasonally. Well that all changed a little over a year ago when she launched the Royal Check pattern (blue and white check), which is absolutely perfect for my home!!!
I instantly became obsessed over the entire collection! This vase was the first item that caught my eye. Kurt ended up buying it for me when the collection first launched, but it was on crazy backorder so he ended up canceling it. Luckily, my parents bought it for us this year for our anniversary this year (pictured below)! And my weekly flowers from Trader Joe’s have never looked prettier! It is honestly such a great piece for the price especially. If you are on the hunt for a substantial gift, but don’t want to spend a ton, this vase is perfect. I was actually shocked at how big it was. And it comes in a few different prints- here, here and here.
Addie also has a taste for Mackenzie-Childs and she eats and drinks out of her bowls every day. Lucky dog haha! And they look so pretty displayed. My mom and dad recently got me the matching cat bowls for my birthday which should be here soon. I ended up going with the smaller of the dog bowls for our cats because we have two of them and well they eat a lot. And I don’t always like filling up their bowls every day haha. But they do make a true cat bowl too.
And for Fall last year, I went a little crazy and bought some of her pumpkins. They are honestly beautiful for this time of year! You can see how I decorated with them this year in this post here. I personally think her stuff is my favorite for Fall, the pumpkins are just so unique and special.
I will say that Mackenzie-Childs items are all handmade, so there can be a bit of a shipping delay, especially lately. Kurt and I bought my mother-in-law this pretty vase for her birthday back in April and it just delivered a couple of weeks ago. I know it might seem like a long time, but she absolutely loved it, so it was worth the extra bit of wait!

Every season when we get a new catalog from Mackenzie-Childs I get so excited! And Kurt runs and hides our credit card haha. I just love how fun and classic her pieces are all at the same time. And all of her pieces honestly make the best gifts. I don’t know about you, but all of the this talk about huge shipping delays has me thinking about Christmas gifts a lot sooner this year!
I have also seen where a lot of the different patterns are all mixed and matched tougher (here is an example). I’m not usually one to like a more eclectic scene, but it can be done very tastefully. I can’t wait to continue adding to my Mackenzie-Childs collection over the years. Here are some of my favorite items for gifting or items I’ve had my eye on. Enjoy!
