I am so excited to share my nursery decor plans! I’ve gotten tons of questions on what my theme is for her room and I don’t know what to say haha. Rainbows, bunnies, pink?! There is a little bit of everything! And I am even more excited that this will be the first ‘complete room’ in our new home! I told Kurt I need to concentrate on at least one room and not have any chaos. And her room just seems fitting to be the first one fully decorated and complete.
A little back story on the bunnies. Last summer, when we had switched doctors and were continuing on our IVF journey (read more about it here), I started to take Addie for early morning walks. And every single morning on our walk we would see Mr. Bunny as we called him. Addie even knew the spots he would hide out in and be on the look out for him. One day, I decided to Google the meaning behind a rabbit sighting. It has a lot of different meanings to different cultures, but overall it is a sign of fertility and following your intuition. I felt so much comfort in seeing that bunny every morning, somehow knowing we were on the right path. When I found these adorable bunny prints, I knew I had to include them in her nursery.

I took full advantage of the 4th of July sales and have ordered so much furniture these last few weeks. And its been so fun to see it all come together! I ended up going with this dresser instead because it is bigger and we actually have the space for it. That will be delivered this week (hopefully!). And I’m super excited to start organizing all of her clothes in it!
And I am also still deciding on a new light fixture. The bedrooms all have ugly, old ceiling fans in them and after living in the home for a few weeks now, we have realized we don’t get the best air flow. We are working to solve that issue so I haven’t decided if I am just going to replace the fan. Or buy a beautiful light fixture, which I would love to do! But sometimes you have to be practical too haha. I am completely in love with this one, just hate the price! Also considering this one and this one.
Another splurge is this toy chest, but I just love it! It’s actually a piece I have had my eye on for years so this might be something we buy a little later down the line….and when it goes on sale haha.
I also ended up ordering this bookcase for the corner of her room. This came super fast! I think it delivered within three days of me ordering it, which is just nuts considering everything is delayed lately. I can’t wait to style the shelves with all of her books and trinkets I’ve been collectiong.
And for the rug…I am literally the worst when it comes to picking out rugs!! Even Kurt says I am haha. But I made my decision and went with this one instead of the one pictured. That actually also arrived last week and it has been the biggest tease ever! When we got our floors done, he told us to wait 30 days to put any rugs down. So I still have about another week before I can lay it down. But you better believe, day 30 this rug is going up haha!
And I plan on ordering this pillow once we decide on a name. We have it narrowed down, but haven’t fully committed yet. We are planning on waiting until she is born to decide. I really want to see what she looks like first and get to know her a bit before we commit.
I can’t wait to see how these nursery decor plan comes together! And will share a big reveal once it is all complete!
