I read quite a bit of blogs in my free time- I really love them! And a lot of people have been sharing capsule wardrobes, which I think is a really great idea. They are small wardrobe’s where everything can sort of mix and match. And if you were to only buy a few items for that particular season, these would be it. So I’m going to do my take on a Spring capsule wardrobe.
One thing I’ve noticed about a lot of these capsule wardrobes is that they are pretty basic. Which I think is helpful, but I need some color, ruffles and just overall more fun items in my closet. And a lot of them are more geared towards dressy outfit ideas and going out outfits. Well, I wear leggings and a sweatshirt 90% of my time and my social life is mostly day events that we can take Sloane too. So I personally can’t ever relate to the capsule wardrobes I’ve seen. I need more realistic outfits ๐
So that is what I added in my Spring capsule wardrobe- color, ruffles, dressy outfits, casual outfits, leggings, sneakers etc. These pieces can truly all be worn together, mixed and matched in lots of different ways. Some of them you might already have in your closet which is even better! Then you can concentrate on buying a few other pieces for Spring!
Some of these items I already own myself or plan on purchasing this Spring. I just bought this sweatshirt and I wash it every time I run a load of laundry so I can wear it again. It is so cozy and really cute! I got a small as it already runs oversized.
I also own this adorable ruffle blouse and it is really cute on. Wear it with white jeans or these jeans with sneakers, the ballet flats and it would be cute with the headband too. It’s really cute tucked in to your jeans or out.
I also just bought myself this long sleeve tee and I’m kind of obsessed. It hits at the perfect length and looks really cute with joggers or leggings. I would even wear it with jeans.
I also wanted to add a cute dress to my capsule wardrobe. I’ve been eyeing this one and think I might order it to wear for Easter. But it would also be really cute for any baby showers, bridal showers, date nights you might have this Spring! Dress it up with these espadrilles that I’m obsessed with it! Would also be really cute with these sneakers for a more casual look. I will probably wear my heeled boots with it. They are a splurge, but such amazing quality. And if it’s chilly, they also help to keep you a little more warm.
I’ve had these jeans on my wish list for a long time and think I just need to bit the bullet. I personally don’t mind spending a little more on denim as I know I will get my money’s worth out of them. I’ve had a few pairs of jeans in my closet for over five years and I still wear them!
A denim jacket is a must in your wardrobe if you don’t own one. It’s nice to throw on with leggings or white jeans. The perfect Spring outfit! And you can never go wrong with a trench coat either. This is another jacket that looks great with dressier outfits or more casual with leggings and sneakers.
I also know I included a lot of tan and white shoes- I am who I am! haha. And yes, I think you need them all ๐ Shoes totally change up an outfit and these are all perfect for Spring time and all areas of your life. And I also didn’t really include a lot of accessories, but I adore this bag! It’s so cute and perfect for this time of year. I don’t have anything like it in my closet. I will be using my Gucci camera bag again this year or my Lululemon belt bag, so I didn’t include anything else because I’m all set in that department.
Hopefully this helps to inspire a few new pieces for your Spring wardrobe!
