What I Wore in Mexico

I recently got back from a girls trip and I wanted to share what I wore in Mexico. I have to warn you though- these aren’t the best of pictures. On vacation, I am really bad at taking any photos. I usually just steal everyone else. I really try to be present, take a break and enjoy. And that’s exactly what I did!

We had the best trip! It was a great mix of relaxing, eating, drinking and a little fun. We are all moms so we really indulged and took our time in the mornings. We slept in, had lazy breakfasts and were not in a rush to do anything. It was so relaxing and fun that I can’t wait to do it again!

Bathing Suits

Here are my suits that I wore. I also wore a navy two piece the last day, but didn’t even get a picture of it haha. By then I was soaking it all in and relaxing. It was old anyway, but this top and bottom are similar.

I discovered this brand of suits last summer and I am kind of hooked. I now own three! They fit really good and they are really affordable. But the best part is that they come out with new releases all the time, so there are always new arrivals. You have to jump on them when you see a color you like in your size because they sell out fast. I am in a small top and medium bottom, but probably could have gotten away with a small bottom too.

My bathing suit is old so here is a similar one, but I love it so much. And it’s from Target! So it was a good find! I got this hat for my trip and love the look of it. The brim is really wide so it shields you really well. It was windy a lot when we were down by the pool, so it was nice to have the strings to hold onto. And I loved this sarong so much. I thought the colors were really fun!

One day we rented a boat which was so much fun. The weather was perfect! I wore this top and shorts onto the boat because I thought it would be a little chilly. But it was not at all haha. So I changed into this sarong. I adore this bathing suit so much! The color is perfect and I loved the belt detail. I will say I don’t think this is a ‘mom suit.’ as its kind of cheeky in the butt. But I loved it too much!

Every day to the pool I wore these sandals which I’ve had for years. They are adorable and really comfy to wear! There are tons of look a likes these days- here is a similar pair for only $10.

Dinner Outfits

I love this dress so much! It was really comfy and lightweight so perfect for warmer weather. I like that it can be dressed up or down. Would also be really cute with flat sandals. I have a wedding later this summer that I plan to wear this too. I am going to dress it up with a little fancier heels.

This is one of my favorite dresses! It is really comfy and I adore the print. I should note it is on the shorter side, so if you are tall, I would size up. I’m in an xs but probably could have also worn the small too. Will be wearing this again over the Summer with cute, flat sandals too.

This was a more casual night for us because we were on the boat all day (and a little tipsy haha!). I bought this top and shorts at the end of the Summer last year and just love it so much! It is on the pricier side, but I couldn’t stop thinking about and I loved it so much. I could see myself wearing this a ton- and will this Spring and Summer! I wore this with my Hermes sandals (review here) because we walked to the restaurant that night. Originally, I had planned on wearing my navy espadrilles with it. Either dressed up or down it’s one of my favorite purchases!

I’ve had this white dress in my closet for years now and its a favorite of mine to wear every Summer. Its one of those all in dresses. Meaning you can literally wear it for everything! Dressed up, casual with sandals, with sneakers. I even wear it like a skirt and have put a sweater over it. It can be worn so many ways. We had dinner on the beach that night, so this dress looked really cute with a jean jacket over.

I should also note I wore these espadrilles almost every night and they are my favorite heels ever for Spring and Summer. I own the original pair, but decided I really love the platform ones and bought those too. I’ve had my original pair in my closet for years and have worn them so much, so I kind of justified it by that haha. Anyway, they are so comfortable and I love the look of them. They are also great in early Spring when it is still chilly out. They say Spring, but you stay warm because they are enclosed. I also like to wear them when I need a pedicure 🙂

Travel Days

I bought this new top and leggings to wear on the plane because I couldn’t resist the color. But also, it is so incredibly comfy! I wore this tank top underneath and took my long sleeve top off when I got to Mexico because it was hot and the sun was out!

I wore my favorite Amazon leggings and matching tank top on the way home. Once we got on the plane, it was chilly so I put my sweatshirt on. I adore this sweatshirt so much- it has a really nice fit to it! And I threw on a hat because it was the end of a trip and I was tired haha.

Sorry for the bad lighting and messy rooms- you can see we got a little lazy towards the end of the trip 🙂
