Monday, again? I know, right? Just when you think it’s suppose to be Spring but it’s still cold! Seriously, I’m convinced we are never going to see any warm weather here in Chicago. Ok ok, I promise I will stop being so negative. So let’s talk about something much more fun….like handbags! Today I bringing you a full Annabel Ingall handbag review (that’s my new bag, in case you were wondering!).
I’ve been in the market for a new black bag, but wasn’t really sure what I wanted. I don’t typically wear a lot of black (shocking, I know!) because I much more prefer tans, white, navy, etc. But then I always get caught on the weekends because my winter coat, boots, hats, scarves are all black! And I feel like I don’t have a bag that goes with those outfits. Insert- a need for a new bag!
After narrowing it down, I knew I wanted a new tote bag. Totes are so incredibly easy to carry especially for what I was looking for. I wanted something easy, stylish and affordable! And when I came across the brand Annabel Ingall-it checked all of the boxes! I am so happy with my purchase and carry it almost every weekend. I say weekend because I typically carry my backpack during the week because it’s way easier for my commute to carry my laptop, lunch etc. and I feel a lot safer not carrying around a flashy purse. Here are a few pros and cons I’ve found to my new Annabel Ingall tote:
Pros
My Isabella tote is the small size and I find it to be the perfect size (see the large version here). I already own the Louis Vuitton Neverfall in the GM size (the largest), so I wanted something a little smaller. You can still carry all of the items you need but it’s not overly bulky. I can fit my wallet, a water bottle, a few lip glosses, keys, phone, card case, etc. in there with plenty of room to spare. You also can’t beat the price! It is so affordable for the quality. And don’t forget, I actually got mine on sale from ShopBop, so I only ended up paying around $330! They have sales twice a year so if you love it, I would defiantly wait for a sale! Don’t worry I will let you know when the next one is 🙂
Cons
I’m always really nervous with open totes like this one, but you have to be so careful that your stuff doesn’t spill out in this one! I always make sure if I have the little strap hooked for added protection. But a lot of times when I set the bag down, my stuff goes every which way. The bag doesn’t have a lot of structure, which is what you get with a tote like this. I have a feeling it is because of the size. If the tote was bigger I don’t think you would have as much of an issue with it. And I do have to say, the inside of the bag does dye some of my items. The inside is black suede so that in itself makes it prone to transfer onto items, so I have to be very careful. The only item I notice this on is my water bottle. But then again I do have a white one, so that probably doesn’t help! And when I wash it, the marks come off instantly.
Conclusion
Overall, I love this bag. It has a certain edge to it, but is still a classy bag. I particularly love the size of it because I can run errands with this, but still take it out to brunch and not feel like my bag is overwhelming me. Sometimes I get that feeling when I carry my Louis Vuitton Neverfall GM- it’s just too big in certain situations! If you are in the market for a new tote under $500, I highly recommend this one!
