Things have been crazy around here so my blog has taken a bit of a backseat! I started back up at work a couple of weeks ago. And then our nanny had a bit of a Covid scare and was exposed. So of course we asked her to stay home. But that meant I had to work and take care of Sloane. Luckily Kurt is also working from home too so we both managed. We are slowly adjusting to our new schedule and getting into a routine. Anyways, I have been trying since the summer to have someone come by ... View the Post
Fall Front Porch
Wreath | Doormat | Planters ... I was so excited to decorate this year for Fall, but especially my front porch! In years past, I always decorated our balcony in Chicago. But Kurt and I were the only ones who were able to enjoy it. No one could see if from the street because we were so high up. I might have went a little crazy with all the pumpkins and mums this year, but I love how it turned out. I wanted to keep things short and sweet today and share everything I used to decorate my ... Paint Colors in Our Home
I'm really excited for today's post! This will be the first, of many, around our home and the renovations/decor that we choose. When we bought our house, we knew it needed some work. The bones are great, but it had been neglected and we are so excited to bring it back to life!! I have so many ideas, but a lot of them will take time....and lots of money haha. It will be fun to look back in a year, two years, five years, etc. and see how we have transformed this home. Today I wanted to ... View the Post
Nursery Decor Plans
I am so excited to share my nursery decor plans! I've gotten tons of questions on what my theme is for her room and I don't know what to say haha. Rainbows, bunnies, pink?! There is a little bit of everything! And I am even more excited that this will be the first 'complete room' in our new home! I told Kurt I need to concentrate on at least one room and not have any chaos. And her room just seems fitting to be the first one fully decorated and complete. A little back story on the ... We Bought a House!!!
As if things couldn't get any crazier over here, the Faber's are packing up because we bought our first home.....in Michigan!!!! I truly have a pinch me moment almost every day because so much has changed in our lives this year. Back Story A little back story. I had always dreamed of living in Chicago when I was younger. I came here with my mom when I was in high school and feel in love with the city. After college, I moved back to Royal Oak. This was during the recession, so jobs ... View the Post
Affordable Bedding from Target
Duvet | Euro Shams | Blanket | Canopy Bed, similar here and here | Rug | Night Stand | Lamp & Shade | Picture Frame | Book | Coral Object ... So when did bedding become so expensive?! Do people really pay upwards of $300-$400 on a duvet cover! I honestly think that's just crazy. I've been searching high and low to replace our current bedding. We got our set for our wedding which was six (almost seven) years ago. My taste has changed a lot since then. I knew I wanted to use it ... View the Post
