I’ve been waiting to share my Christmas home decor with you and here it finally is!!!!!! I’m not really sure why but I really had so much fun decorating this year. I think it all boils down to our NEW tree! So, last year if you remember, Addie ended up eating and chewing up our tree. Every night we would come home to find that she had eaten a couple more ornaments from the tree. She really put a damper on Christmas, I swear! And then she eventually got to the lights and only half my tree would light up haha. It looked ridiculous!
I ended up throwing my tree away after the holidays were over last year, so I knew I needed a new one this year. After finding a few inspiration photos on Pinterest, I knew I had to get a flocked one! They are so pretty and this tree is exactly what I was looking for. It’s so funny because Frank always loves to lounge under the tree and he always comes out with white snowflakes all over him haha. But I will put up with the little bit of mess that it causes because it looks so pretty!
We’ve had a few issues here and there of Addie getting to the tree, but I think we have finally figured it out. Here is the trap we have to set every morning or anytime we leave the house. But it has worked hahah! She’s only ruined TWO ornaments this year. So fingers crossed she is a good girl the rest of the season. I keep calling her the Grinch because she wants to ruin Christmas!
Potterybarn has been my go to this year in terms of Christmas decor. They made the cutest items that are classic and just plain cute! I have bought just about everything they make in this plaid! I love how it looks and it is true, classic Christmas. Every year, I buy a few items to add to our Christmas decor and this year I might have bought a little bit more than years past, but I really couldn’t help myself!
I also want to mention my favorite Christmas candles I burn during the season. This is my all time favorite one and I buy one big one every year (here is a smaller version of the same one). It smells up your entire house and even smells wonderful when its not even lit. If you are looking for a more inexpensive candle, William’s Sonoma are always my go to. I have both the Winter Forrest scent and Winter Berry and they both smell wonderful.
And did you notice our new couch?!?! We had that delivered in October and I’m absolutely loving it! I was so worried that we made a rash decision, but I really couldn’t be happier with it. The lighter color really lightens up the space and makes our apartment feel much bigger. And it is 1000% easier to clean which makes our lives so much simpler!
Have a wonderful holiday season!!
