When I first saw this red top by Madewell I knew I had to have it! Which is a little strange for me because I don’t usually wear red, but lately I have been picking a lot of items in this color. Sadly, it was not available in my size on the Shopbop website during their sale a few weeks ago. I will give you a little secret information that I have discovered while shopping these sales. If you make an account and sign in, you can click on the heart icon which saves items for you. This way you can watch an item, even if its sold out. If I really want something, I typically check back in the mornings and for some reason they almost always have stock again. So that’s what I did with this top. I waited until the next morning and they suddenly had my size. I couldn’t hit my checkout button fast enough! #onlineshoppingproblems
When I received this top in the mail its was even better in person than online. I love that it’s a top that can be casual (like I have styled in these photos) with jeans or you can make it dressier by adding black jeans or dressier shorts. The cutout sleeve detail is seriously the cutest! And I love all of the pom detailing which is right on trend this year.
I decided to pair this top with my favorite Citizens of Humanity jeans worn in this post and my favorite Tory Burch sandals. I have had these sandals for a couple of years. And year after year they are still my go to shoe for spring and summer. First off, the nude color literally goes with anything. My obsession with nude shoes is real. I think its about all I own! But I love that they can be worn with both black and brown outfits, so you get a lot of wear out of them. And nude shoes make your legs look amazing! Second, they are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes that I own.
I wore this outfit the day we left for our weekend trip to Charleston, SC. I decided to wear these shoes to the airport because airports can be a little chilly and I’m always cold. But once we landed in Charleston I changed into my sandals. We decided to walk around and explore the city, which was one of our favorite parts of the trip. The homes in Charleston are just to die for!! I love all of the old character and charm. We walked down The Battery and Rainbow Row which are must sees, but then we just started turning corners until we had no clue where we were. Charleston is one of my favorites cities and we can’t wait to go back!
