I know things have been difficult these past few days with what is going on with the world. I’ve been glued to my phone reading news stories and sharing what I can. It’s sickening. With that being said, I never want to come across like I don’t know what is going on with the world. But sometimes we do need a release. And a little shopping never hurt anyone! So I hope this can be a little release for you and to get your mind of some very haunting things right now.
Sloane’s 10 month birthday is tomorrow and I just cannot get over how fast it has gone! We are now two months out from her first birthday- and Kurt’s 40th birthday! I told myself I wouldn’t be one of those over the top birthday party parents….but I can’t help myself! If anything, this will be the birthday to celebrate. It will be Sloane’s first and Kurt’s 40th on the same day! I am actually already in full on planning mode and ordering lots of stuff from Etsy. The invites went out Monday so I’m really getting excited for it!
Kurt and I also celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary on Tuesday. Instead of going out to dinner, we decided to go out to lunch this year because then we wouldn’t have to get a baby sitter haha.
We are staying in town this weekend for Memorial weekend, but we still have lots of plans. We are going to take Sloane to the zoo for the first time. I’m sure she will be unenthused lol. She loves going in her stroller but she is always so serious in it!
And speaking of Sloane- she is thissss close to crawling! She will crawl a little bit and then stop. Or she likes to get onto her knees and trick us and then sit back up. I’m just so excited for her! I know things will change a lot when she does actually crawl, but for now we are just waiting patiently until she figures it out.
This week we also wrapped up one of our last home improvement projects. Our columns on our front entryway were giving out and were damaged. So we had them fixed and painted. I am always amazed at what a good coat of paint can do. It looks so good! After this, we are taking a much needed home improvement break. We have had workers in our home since January on and off. And I am just ready to relax a bit. Our next project will be renovating our powder bath which I am really excited about!
Here are some things I found this week!
- I am not in the market right now for a new designer handbag, but if I was….how gorgeous is this?! I’ve never seen anything like it.
- I adore this sweatshirt from Target. Would be so cute for this weekend or save it of the 4th of July. This one is also really cute too!
- I bought these 4th of July pj’s for Sloane and a lot of Kurt’s cousins bought them too for their kids. We are going to do a big group photo of them all wearing them and its going to be so cute! These are the BEST pj’s too. They are made longer so they seem to fit forever. Sloane is just now outgrowing some that I got her when she was first born. They stretch for days!
- I have been on a kick of buying Sloane some cute items for the 4th of July. And Monica & Andy launched the cutest prints. See my collage below. I ended up buying Sloane this, this and this for the holiday.
