…
It has been a long time (too long!) since I have shared anything makeup on the blog. With the Sephora sale going on right now, I thought now would be the perfect time to share my current makeup routine.
First off, a little more on the sale. The sale is a tiered event and the more you shop with them over the year, the more you save. If you sign up to become a beauty insider you get 10% off right off the bat. The next level is VIB which gets you 15% off and then Rouge is the highest tier and if you are a Rouge member you get 20% off at checkout. Use the code TIMETOSAVE at checkout. I really try and only buy my beauty items from Sephora because it is worth it to get the 20% off.
Sephora does this sale twice a year and I use this to stock up on my tried and true products as well as trying some new things too. The last sale they had in the spring I bought a bunch of new stuff. I hadn’t refreshed any of my makeup in quite a while and I was ready to explore some new things. And I have loved everything I’ve been using! I will share what I have been using below and I will also be sharing a video on my stories today of how I apply it all. So if you like videos better, be sure to check it out. And at the end, I am going to list out what I plan to buy this sale too.
My Current Makeup Routine
Foundation- Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk in shade 4. I don’t wear foundation every day but when I do this is what I grab. It is like your skin but better. Just a really natural finish, but can be built up too if you want a little more coverage. This is a great every day foundation.
Concealer- Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in shade Light 2 Vanilla. I’ve been wearing this for years. I wear it under my eyes and find that it does not crease or cake up. A very natural finish too!
Concealer- Tarte Ultra Creamy Shape Tape in shade 20B Light. This isn’t sold at Sephora, but I wanted to include it because it’s part of my current makeup routine. And I happen to love this concealer. I wear this on my face and really use it as my foundation which is what I wear most days. I don’t like it under my eyes because I think it is a little to thick and I get a lot of creases. But I love it for my face.
Powder- Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish in shade 1 Fair. The best powder! It takes all the shine out of your face, but doesn’t feel cakey.
Bronzer- Haus Labs Powder Highlight in Raw Amber. This is technically a highlight but I saw someone use this as a bronzer who had fair skin and I loved how it looked on her complexion. It is really pretty and has a little sparkle to it. But doesn’t look overly sparkly on your face if that makes sense. Just really pretty.
Blush- Westman Atelier in shade Petal. This was my first time in a long time trying a cream blush and I was apprehensive because in the past they never worked for me. But I happen to love this one so much! The color is perfect and the product is just awesome. It glides on smoothly and gives you a nice glow too. I love this blush so much.
Blush- Nars in Orgasm. I like to set my cream blush with a powder blush and have been using this one from Nars. Just a few dabs over the cream blush and it lasts all day.
Highlight- Westman Atelier in shade Lit Up. I use this highlight above my bronzer/blush and it is really pretty. Again this is my first time using a cream highlight but I really like it. I also use a smaller brush and add this to the corners of my eyes for a little sparkly.
Eyebrow Pencil- Anastasia in Medium Brown. Pretty straight forward, but I have been using this for years and I always re-order.
Eyelash Primer- Tarte. An eyelash primer is so important before you add mascara. I notice a huge difference in my lashes when I don’t use one. My favorite one got discontinued and I have been using this one by Tarte. I think it works good, but I’m not completely sold. I would probably try another one before I bought this again. It’s good, but I’m convinced there might be something better out there.
Mascara- Better Than Sex. The best mascara, hands down! I’ve tried different brands in the past and I always come back to this one. It lengthens, thickens and is buildable. My lashes always look so good when I wear this. I’m never without this mascara.
Setting Spray- Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray. I like to use a setting spray when I’m done with my makeup. It kind of just meshes everything together. And since I have dry skin it just makes my skin feel better, especially in the winter months. I don’t particularly like that scent of this one, but the more I’ve used it, the less I even smell it. It works well so I keep repurchasing.
Brush- Merit. This is hands down the best brush I have ever used. And if you buy one thing from my current makeup routine-let it be this brush! You can use it for everything! And when I travel, it is the only brush I bring with me. It’s crazy. I use it for foundation, concealer, blush, highlight. But you can also use it for literally everything else. It’s so soft and nice on your face.
