I found myself the other day googling- how to decorate for Fall! Can you even believe that? August just started and I already have Fall on my brain. For the record I plan on doing a black and white theme this year because I’m obsessed with these pumpkins. Although they are pricey, I plan on buying one or two and building my collection every year. And then adding in some more inexpensive options like these or these until I get my full collection. Don’t worry- I plan on sharing how I ended up decorating because I’m so excited about it this year!
But in all seriousness, its starting to feel like Fall lately, at least to me. Granted it still gets super hot during the day, but lately at night it’s been cooling off so nice and there is a slight chill in the air. And has anyone else noticed how the days are getting shorter? Fall is right around the corner! Starbucks even announced that the pumpkin spice latte will release this year on August 28th, so I can’t be the only person with Fall on the brain!
Even retailers are starting to transition into Fall and today I wanted to talk about items on my radar for Fall. Some of these items are also great summer/fall transitional items so you really get more bang for you buck!
On My Radar for Fall
1. Canada Goose Jacket– I am so in love with this jacket!!! I even tried it on in stores a couple of weeks ago and it took everything I had to put it back on the hangar. This is my #1 item I’m hoping to pick up this Fall.
2. J.Crew Embroidered Blouse– Another item on my radar for Fall that I just have to have is this blouse! I can’t get over how adorable it is and it’s the most “me” item ever. This is a great piece to transition into Fall with because you can wear it now on it’s own and later with a cardigan. And I would wear this with black pants to work or jeans on the weekend for date night. I adore this blouse!
3. Sweater Blazer– This is one of J.Crew’s best sellers. And every year I tell myself I am going to buy it and then I don’t. Regardless I have wanted this sweater blazer for a while now. These types of sweaters are so easy to throw on and you instantly look more put together.
4. Wool Blazer– And another blazer that has been on my list for years! I love the color of this one because you can wear it with both navy and black, so you will wear this a ton. It’s also a classic that will never go out of style so you will have this for years and years to come.
5. Leopard Booties– I missed this trend last year and I’m so happy to see that it is back this year. So I will not be missing it again this year. Leopard booties look so stinking cute with jeans or black pants for Fall and this pair is my pick. The heel is thicker and they aren’t too high, so they look uber comfy to wear. If you are looking for a cute pair of leopard shoes to wear now as we transition to Fall- this pair is my top pick!
6. Hat– The color of this hat is so pretty. A must for me this Fall, especially in the Windy City that I live in haha.
7. Hair Pin Set– The hair trend isn’t slowing down anytime soon and I’m all about it. I’ve had so much fun wearing all the knotted headbands, srunchies and pearl barrettes this summer and I’m so excited to see that this trend will also take us thru Fall.
8. Veja Sneaker– I’m all about a cute sneaker, especially in Fall. This brand has been on my radar for a while now and I just love the color of this pair.
9. Striped Long Sleeve T-shirt– I’m all about a long sleeve tees in the Fall and I surprisingly don’t have a striped one in my closet yet. This one would look adorable with white jeans and this jacket and a cute pair of sneakers!
10. Cashmere Sweater– This sweater is a favorite of mine (I own the light grey) and this Fall I plan on buying a few more colors. I basically lived in it all last Fall and Winter because it’s so easy to throw on. Yet you look polished and put together regardless of what you are wearing. And at $100 for a cashmere sweater- you really can’t beat the price!
11. Givenchy Bag– This bag will forever be on my lust list until I finally save enough to buy it! I think it is such a classy bag. And for Fall I’m always reaching for a black bag.
12. Tiered Dress– Another great option to wear as we transition into Fall. I actually bought this dress over the summer in the blue/white striped and adored it! But I returned it because I had a dress almost identical to it. So I’m so happy to see that they brought it back in a multitude of colors. The pink and white are also adorable!
