I thought this would be a really fun idea for a post! Recently I’ve bought quite a few new items for Spring so I wanted to share my try on session and how I styled everything. So many times, a lot of items I purchase I end up just wearing to work. And they become so mundane that I don’t think you will be interested in them. Frankly, I get sick of them myself sometimes because I wear them so often. But I know a lot of you can’t wear jeans to work, so these can be good pieces you can incorporate into your wardrobe. And, hello, I live in Chicago where it is still in the 30s. So the thought of standing outside in the Windy City, gives me chills! So mirror selfies it is!

I can only take leopard in small doses, but for so reason I love this sweater. It is a classic silhouette with a super fun print. I paired it with my Madewell denim jeans that I would never be allowed to wear to work (stupid dress codes!) and a pair of booties for a cute, more dressed up weekend outfit. You could easily wear this top with your classic black work pants too- which is what I plan to do- just as soon as I get them back from the dry cleaners lol. And let’s chat about this tote. I just got it a few weeks ago during the Shopbop sale. If you missed it, I’m sorry! It only happens twice a year and designer items go on SALE, which never happens! I’ve had my eye on this tote and was waiting for the sale! The tote is smaller than my Louis Vuitton GM Neverfall, but I needed one this size. And it’s a bit less constructed than the LV. Meaning things call out of it a little easier since there is not zipper. You have to be a bit more careful that you don’t loose anything. But I’m thinking that might also be because of the size. Either way, I adore this tote and am so happy to add a black bag into my collection. That’s a big step for a nude lover!

I’ve been really wanting to incorporate more basics into my wardrobe and when I saw this sweater I knew this was a great basic. And when I got it, it was even more amazing in person. It is a little on the shorter side (it’s suppose to be that way) and on me, it hits at the perfect length. It is a great sweater! And it is so comfortable! No itchy wool at all! It sounds weird, but it feels like it has a little stretch to it.
These pants are also new. I’ve needed some new ones for work and I’m sick of wasting all of my money at the dry cleaners. And these ones can be thrown into the regular washer. They fit so good! In fact, as soon as I wore them for the first time, I immediately ordered them in the navy color. They fit true to size and hit at the perfect crop length. Perfect for work or with a tee on the weekends!
And these shoes are also new! I’ve tried resisting the urge to buy these, but then Shopbop had that sale and they were added to my cart. And there was no looking back! They are the perfect height, color and everything else. I also love that they aren’t an open toe. My work is always chilly and when your feet are exposed it makes me feel even more cold. These will also be super cute with dresses and shorts once it warms up!
Turtleneck & Light Colored Denim

Does something look familiar in this photo?!? haha. I ended up ordering this sweater in the tan color also. Initially I told myself I only needed one color. But I LOVE the navy one I got and this color is also a great neutral. So I decided to keep both! They also make it in a really pretty lavender/pink color that I am seriously tempted by.
These are my first pair of jeans from J.Crew (I know shocking!), also worn here, and they have an insane amount of stretch. Like way more than you could ever imagine. Which makes them incredibly comfy. I picked up this lighter wash because I’ve had my eye on them. They are the perfect color for Spring!
My shoes aren’t new, but I am obsessed with them. My girlfriend had them before I got mine and I obsessed over them every time I saw her in them. She convinced me to buy them! And I haven’t regretted it. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up so I can wear them more. If you do order them, size up at least a half size. They run really small.
Preppy Dress

Have you ever shopped at Tuckernuck? I’ve known about this site for a while now and never ordered anything. When I was browsing items to pick up for our trip to Florida, I cam across this dress and fell in love. And sadly it delivered the day we left, so I didn’t get a chance to wear it. Super sad! I like the long sleeves and the preppy collar. It will also be so cute with riding boots before it warms up. I’m still torn if I’m going to keep this or not. I’m not much of a dress person, although I do adore it! What do you think?
Jean Jacket & Striped Tee

I don’t know how I’ve lived his long without a jean jacket in my closet but I have. Every Spring I tell myself I am going to buy one and then I never do. Well I finally got around to it! I’m wearing an XS in this picture, but I actually am going to exchange it for a small. It is a little tight and I can’t button it haha.
These tees are my all time favorite. And every year I replace mine because they get faded and old. I love the striped one I picked up this year. And I love how it adds that nautical look to my outfit.
Did you guys like this post?!? I hope to do more in the future! It’s a really easy way for me to show you new items I’ve gotten and give you my full review. Lately, I’ve been keeping a lot of the stuff I’ve been getting, but I also want to show you stuff I don’t keep moving forward. I hope you found this helpful!
