The Nordstrom sale is now in full swing and it is finally open for everyone to shop. Meaning you can shop now even if you don’t have a Nordstrom credit card. Last week I received my orders that I placed when the sale first went live and I wanted to share what I bought from the Nordstrom sale. Now I will say- I over bought big time! I was in such a hurry when the sale fist went live and I was already seeing items sell out that were in my cart, so I purchased way more than I knew I would keep because I didn’t want to miss out on anything! I actually think that is what makes this sale fun to shop! It’s all about the excitement of snagging an item that is hard to get!
Anyway, as a reference I am 5’4″ and wear a size 2 or 4. I will include sizing information, but if you have any questions leave them in the comments below. Some of this stuff might be sold out, but keep checking back because they might restock it!
What I Bought at the Nordstrom Sale
Outfit #1- Vince Sweater & Paige Denim
Sweater (I sized up to a small for a more over size fit) | Jeans (tts, wearing a 26)
…
I absolutely love these jeans! They are the perfect fit and truly so comfortable to wear. I love the wash of them too. Online they look a lot lighter, but they are a little deeper in person. The distressing and holes completely make these jeans. I originally wasn’t planning on buying a pair of jeans, but I tried these on when I was shopping in store and they were too good to pass up. And this sweater is quite the splurge. I have always wanted a sweater by this brand and I knew I was going to buy one during this sale. I’m just having a hard time with the price! It’s still pretty expensive even on sale. But it is a beautiful sweater. The cashmere is very soft and I know I would wear this one a ton. It’s a lightweight sweater, more like a tissue cashmere so it will be nice to wear now and as the weather starts to cool off….if I can get over the sticker shock!
Outfit #2- Barbour Jacket
Jacket (wearing a size 6) | Jeans (tts)
…
This year I bought a ton of jackets because those never go on sale and what better time to snag some! So you will see lots of options below. Barbour is so classic and I know this one will never go out of style. I was expecting this one to be a bit warmer, but I still think its a great option as a Fall jacket.
Outfit #3- Alo Jacket
Jacket (size small) | Jeans (tts)
…
I have been wanting to try one of these teddy coats and I actually had my eye on this one before the sale even started. So I was so excited I was able to snag one in my size. With that being said, I just don’t think this is my style. I think it’s adorable and looks so cute on so many other people. And it would be so cute to wear on the weekends with jeans. But I just didn’t feel like myself in in for some reason!
Outfit #4- Something Navy Sweater
Sweater (tts, wearing an xs) | Jeans (tts)
…
I love the color of this sweater! And the fit is just as good. I really like how it is a longer so you could wear it with jeans or leggings.
Outfit #5- Madewell Cardigan
Sweater (tts, wearing an xs) | Jeans (tts)
…
I adore this cardigan! Madewell is a brand that very rarely goes on sale and this cardigan is such a good deal. I love the oversized fit of it and the length on it. It has a bit of stretch to it which makes it super cozy. And how cute are these pockets?!
Outfit #5- BP. Sweater and Frame Jeans
Sweater (runs small, wearing a size small) | Jeans (tts, wearing a 26)
…
For only $25, this sweater is a great find! It’s lightweight so it’s something you will be able to wear sooner rather than later. My office is always freezing, so lightweight sweaters like this are always perfect, even this time of year. And I was so excited to get these jeans! But I actually ended up liking the Paige pair a lot better. This pair doesn’t have as much stretch, so while they are comfy, they are a bit rougher to wear if that makes sense. I still think they are super cute, but I told myself I could only keep one pair of jeans this year. If I could I would have kept both pair.
Outfit #6- Thread & Supply Jacket
Jacket (runs tts, wearing a small) | Jeans (tts)
…
This is such a cute option for a Fall jacket and it’s at such an affordable price for under $60! It has this really cozy fleece on the inside too. I actually thought this jacket would be a little warmer because of the inside, but it’s on the lighter side. Regardless it’s a great option for Fall and you really can’t beat the price.
Outfit #7- Nike Top & Zella Leggings
Top (sized up to a small) | Leggings (sized up to a small)
…
I bought a lot of activewear items from this years sale because I basically live in these types of outfits on the weekends and this is what I change into after I get home from work. This top is just a great basic to have. And these leggings!!! These are the best leggings ever and they are under $40. I bought mine three years ago at the sale and they still look brand new. And they have not faded one bit. They are thicker so you can wear them to workout in, run errands in or even with boots and a long sweater. I don’t have enough good things to say about them- everyone needs a pair in their wardrobe!
Outfit #8- Barefoot Dreams Cardigan
Cardigan (tts, wearing an xs) | Leggings (wearing a small)
…
You really can’t beat anything by Barefoot Dreams! The brand is just amazingly so soft and this cardigan is no exception. This one is a little more fitted than their other cardigans and one that you could wear out of the house. But you don’t lose the cozy factor one bit!
Outfit #9- Zella Top & Sports Bra with Alo Leggings
Top (sized up to a small) | Sports Bra (wearing a small) | Leggings (wearing a small)
…
I will defiantly be keeping this tank and sports bra because they both fit so well. I love the brand Zella and every year they include the cutest items in the sale. These leggings on the other hand are a hard pass for me even though I was super excited to get them. They have a sheen to them which I really liked, but putting them on they are stiff, feel hot and the material is itchy. I’m just not a fan.
Outfit #10- Zella Sweatshirt
Sweatshirt (sized up to a small) | Leggings (wearing a small)
…
I love the fit of this sweatshirt. Recently, I’ve been on a the hunt for a cute one to wear with shorts and this one is exactly what I was looking for. I sized up for a roomier fit.
Outfit #11- The North Face Jacket
Jacket (wearing a small, but would need an xs) | Leggings (wearing a small)
…
I was super excited about this jacket, but sadly it’s a little too big on me, especially in the sleeves. But at under $100, this jacket is a steal. If I can find it in an xs, I will be keeping this because I know I would wear this a ton with all of my activewear outfits. And it’s a really great, casual jacket to have.
Outfit #12- Zella T-Shirt
Top (sized up to small) | Leggings (wearing a small)
…
When I shopped in stores I was on the hunt for new workout attire and this top is under $30 so I grabbed it.
Outfit # 13- Leith Cardigan & Spanx Leggings
Cardigan (tts, wearing an xs) | Leggings (wearing a small)
…
I snagged this cardigan because it’s light weight and a great option to have in your closet as something you can wear now when it’s chilly from the ac. Or later on as the temps start to cool down. It’s a great layering piece to have and at under $50, it’s a great price. If you don’t have a pair of spanx leggings I highly recommend and they are always a very sought after item at the Nordstrom sale. They have a sheen to them which dresses them up a bit and gives a little twist on a basic outfit. I live in these during the winter months when I get sick of wearing the same black leggings over and over again. And they are also so comfy to wear. They aren’t stiff or hard feeling on. These rarely go on sale either so now is the time to snag them!
Outfit #14- Something Navy Joggers
Joggers (sized up to a m for a looser fit)
…
These joggers are made from the softest material and so, so comfy! They are great to lounge around the house in.
Outfit #15- Barefoot Dreams Cardigan & PJ’s
Cardigan (wearing s/m- this is the smallest size, but meant to fit oversized) | PJ Set (wearing a small)
…
And last but not least! I have been living in this cardigan and it was an item on my list to purchase this year. I can’t get over how soft and cozy it is either. It’s meant to fit very oversized too. I’m wearing the smallest size they make, but it’s suppose to be large so you can wrap up in it! And these pj’s are the best things ever! They are not only so soft, but they do not shrink one bit when you wash them. So buy your normal size or you will be swimming in them!
