The most exciting news this is week is I had hired a handy man over a month ago and he was finally able to come on Tuesday! I had a long list of things I needed to get done. The biggest ones were a new light in our entryway, he put together Sloane’s closet and hung my curtain in my powder bath! Everything looks so good. We even talked to him about our third floor bath and helping us to add shiplap to the walls. We decided to book him for that because I think in the end it will just be easier on everyone if we have someone who is more experienced haha. So I’ve been making final selections for my bathroom- it’s going to look so good when it’s done. Here are the initial plans we have.
I’m still working on Sloane’ closet, but it is already so much better and offers so much more storage then we previously had. We added this to the closet because her last set up just didn’t work for us. I ordered a ton of baskets to optimize storage so I can’t wait to get in there and make it look pretty haha.
And our powder bath is done!!!! Ahhhh. It’s been a long time coming and it looks so good. Overall, I am just really proud of us. Kurt and I did it all on our own! Expect a full review on the blog soon ๐

I’ve had this cashmere sweater in my closet for years and I don’t plan on ever getting rid of it. Proof that classics and good quality clothing will last forever!
It was so nice this day! I’m getting excited for warmer weather and to finally be able to wear all the dresses in my closet.

I had a dermatologist appointment in the morning so I didn’t even put makeup on this day. It was kind of nice to let my skin breath!

Friday’s are usual about comfort for me! I like to clean and get ready for the weekend on my lunch break. I also didn’t feel like washing my hair which really needed it so I disguised it with a hat lol.

We had a slow day but it was needed! Got a lot done around the house and had a really relaxing morning. The next few weeks are going to be a little crazy, so it felt really good to be a little lazy.

Happy Mother’s Day! We celebrated by going downtown to Jo Jo’s Shake Bar. And it was really cute! Actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be and then we cooked dinner later on for my in-laws. All in all, a great day!
